I’m not happy about the truly awful dog chews that get packaged up for Christmas and sold as ‘treats’ for dogs and cats. Advent calendars for dogs, sure, but don’t fill them with poor quality treats full of sugar and colours. Are we back in the 90′s? I know that for me, a treat is chocolate, but I’m in control of what I eat, my dogs are not.
So I’ve made up Christmas presents for dogs, and I’ll happily make them for your cat too. They’re pretty, healthy and come in mostly eco-friendly packaging.
Use this discount code xmas10 at the checkout for 10% discount off everything, not just Christmas presents.
So your dog can enjoy his or her own present this Christmas; Pet Munchies duck dog treats, Paragon Hedgehogs chews and Natural Way Ostrich Sausage treats and you’ll know they’re having a good time and you won’t have to deal with an upset stomach while dealing with everything else on the day.
And if you need to give dog treats a swerve what about a Beco Bowl? They’re tough, will last you years, are dishwasher safe and it will biodegrade if you stick it in the compost when you’re done with it.
Happy Christmas!

The best treat for any dog would be one that is all meat with no preservatives or artificial flavoring. Any type of meat left over from dinner or freeze dry some chicken livers that are cut into small pieces.
Hello Trose
Thanks for your comment.
While I agree to a greater extent you need to make sure the meat you give the dog isn’t covered in gravy because of the salt content, and stay away from meats that have been cured, like ham, as they will also contain a fair bit of salt.
Also, there’s nothing wrong with most raw veg and some fruit as treats.
